Pistols
B-22 Blaster Pistol
A very effective short range weapon, the B22 has a high firing rate that counterbalances the relatively poor yield. The weapon is very popular amongst personal security forces because it can easily be carried around relatively unnoticed. Due to a minimum of moving parts the design is also very durable, leading to the popular but untested belief that this weapon could be strapped to a hull and flown through a sun, after which it would still be functional.

Bryar Pistol
The Bryar is designed with ease of use and reliability in mind. Everything from the sights to replacing the power cell has been made as simple as possible and the number of mechanical parts is kept to a minimum to lower maintenance requirements. To lower the wear on the barrel the designers opted for a lower rate of fire and a lower powered bolt, which makes the weapon very stable and thus more accurate than expected. The Bryar is seen all over the galaxy, equally in use by civilians and thugs who lack the training to use more sophisticated weapons effectively.

DD6 Blaster Pistol
When Merr-Sonn originally designed the DD6 pistol, they were aiming at the growing market of independent spacers. These people have very little time to concentrate on weapons training, unlike their military counterparts. So they designed a weapon that could get an unskilled user out of trouble quickly. This meant that the people who bought it could spend their valuable time honing their starship and trading skills, but would still have a reliable weapon to count on if things went badly.

DDC Defender Blaster Pistol
As the galaxy was growing more and more hostile with the demise of the Old Republic and diplomats could no longer count on Jedi to keep them safe, it was discovered that a weapon was needed that required practically no skill to use. Drearian Defense Conglomerate stepped in to fill this void with their Defender pistol. Elegant enough to compliment any diplomat's or businessman's attire, the Defender became a popular feature amongst the high society of the galaxy.
Although it has relatively little stopping power, the Defender was simply seen as a last ditch defense if a possible assassin would get past the wielder's bodyguards.

DH-17 Blaster Pistol
BlasTech's DH-17 Blaster Pistol is one of the most common sidearms found in the galaxy. Used by multiple governments as standard navy issue and by freelancer pilots, the DH-17 is often simply called a 'blaster.' Despite its wide usage, on most planets it is illegal for individuals to carry these weapons unless they are part of the governing military. Designed primarily to aid in shipboard combat, the DH-17 is powerful enough to penetrate most types of body armor but was also created in such a way that its bolts aren't quite powerful enough to puncture the hull of space-faring vessels. Standard weapons hold enough gas for 500 bolts to be fired, though the standard power pack has only enough energy for firing 100 bolts before it needs to be replaced. Fortunately power packs are inexpensive and small enough for the blaster's user to carry multiples and the recharge time for a single pack is fairly quick, taking about half an hour.
Due to the fact that purchasing, maintaining, and modifying these weapons can be done rather cheaply, the DH-17 has found use in a number of different locations of extreme environments. The ability to set it to full-automatic is another popular design feature that has proven a boon for its wielders, but many rookies have discovered, unfortunately in the heat of battle, that doing so can deplete the weapon's entire clip in just a few minutes.

DY-225 Blaster Pistol
Sounding more like a day in the galactic year than a blaster, this old model still sees limited use with those who have little weapons training that wish protection. A high quality precision mechanism gives it precious added accuracy that makes it still valuable compared to other pistols even if the delays detract from it overall. fairly compact, it is one of the few weapons with more than one setting and so has found use with small security forces and bounty hunters whose prisoners are worth more alive than dead. Due to its increased accuracy and the stun setting it is still popular today.

Jawa Ionisation Blaster
The Jawas of Tatooine are scrap collectors, combing the deserts of their planet for droids and spare parts. Typical of these nomads, their blasters are built from a mixture of mismatched components found on their voyages. These parts are haphazardly wired together in ways that defy the manufacturer's specifications. In their dank workshops, Jawa mechanics strip a blaster rifle of all of it's internal parts except for it's power pack. Laser components are replaced with a droid-restraining bolt and an accu-accelerator, the latter of which is taken from a capital ship's ion drive.

AXM-50
The AXM-50 is an old, basic model originally developed by Prax Arms and used mainly for personal protection and militia defense. The small, underpowered projectiles are offset by the fast firing rate, giving this rifle potent stopping power.

Bryar Blaster Rifle
Similar to the Bryar Pistol, the Bryar Rifle was built for simplicity and ease of use. Although it is no more effective damage-wise, with its increased accuracy and range which is double that of the Bryar Pistol. Its bulk and cost are easily made up for by the increased ammunition capacity and ability to stun an adversary. It is one of the most used medium range rifles in circulation, and a top pick for small-time or low budget security groups.

MG-15 Carbine
Though not the most powerful weapon, the MG-15 has managed to find favour with military forces that use squad-based tactics. Because of its high rate of fire and its better-than-average accuracy at medium ranges, it is often used to lay down cover fire while other members of the squad proceed with their various combat tasks. While the MG-15 is most effective at medium ranges, it has proven inaccurate and inefficient for long-range use. Due to its lack of stopping power, even if one manages to hit an enemy from a great distance, a single shot is unlikely to kill. Additionally, in field-tests, the long barrel was shown to make the weapon extremely difficult to use in close-quarters combat.

Exotic Weapon's
W-2X Wrist Caster
The W-2X Wrist Caster was designed by Kelvarek Consolidate Arms as a complement to its small-arms collection. The device is worn on top of the wrist and can be concealed under a sleeve. A handle extending from the caster fits into a gripped hand and the device is triggered by pressing a red button on its edge. Though most commonly designed to fit right-handed humanoids, casters can be modified to suit hands of varying sizes and digits. Due to fears of accidental misfire, wrist casters are rarely adopted by major military commands, but continue to find a market among the likes of bounty hunters, gladiators, and smugglers, who have no scruples about appearing unarmed in order to beat their enemies to the draw.

Zenji Needles
Used by the enigmatic group of women known as the Mistryl Shadow Guards, Zenji needles are deadly throwing weapons. They are 10 centimeters long and the ends are usually decorated with a jewel of some type, lending to the balance and weight of the weapon. Usually worn as decorative hair ornaments, the lacquered Zenji needles can be hurled with deadly accuracy. With sufficient force, Zenji needles can crack some forms of body armor. Made from a variety of gems and crushed glass, Zenji needles give the appearance of being decorative ornaments, but can actually give the wearer an unaccounted-for weapon which has the potential to change the dynamics of any situation.
